Flocking color

As we go forward in life, how often do we think about color? Certainly we do when selecting what to wear or put on the wall. It's not so much thinking though. It's liking, or not liking. It's feeling good about it or not. It's feeling good about what it does for you or for your surroundings. Feeling color.

I once had the experience of being asked to move together with others as a group, as if I was in a flock of birds. It called for trust in peripheral vision. It made me think of how much of our lives are spent thinking about moving forward. But what about how we feel on that journey, what's alongside? How about what surrounds us? How about the color that we like, that lifts us up?

These are 2 color charts: the same colors reproduced on different materials(the softer crepe de chine silk and brighter polyester silk faille). The colors groupings started the same but the materials took them on different journeys. The 2 charts show how much color shifts and how they influence each other in that shift. The colors flock together; different material/ different feeling.
